Net annual increment is defined as gross increment minus natural losses on all trees over a given period. Gross increment is the average volume of increment of all trees (all diameters, down to a stated minimum diameter) over a given period. It is reported in cubic metres overbark (i.e. including bark). Small trees are also included when they reach the minimum diameter.
Fellings refer to the volume of all trees, living or dead, which are felled during a given period, whether or not removed from the forest or other felling sites.
